TAP metadata discussions

An interesting discussion about TAP metadata provision and format has 
been developing between various folk which I believe would benefit from 
a wider viewing (not to mention becoming part of the public record). 
With the (perhaps tacit) permission of those involved, I'm about to post 
these emails to the mailing list. I would encourage anyone interested in 
the progress of TAP to take a look at them.
