SSAP version in the query response

Dear all,

Don't you think it would be useful to add the SSAP version number into
the query response of the service, for example as
additional <INFO> within the <RESOURCE type="results"> element, like

<RESOURCE type="results">
  <INFO name="QUERY_STATUS" value="OK"/>
  <INFO name="RESPONSE_VERSION" value="0.91"/>
  <TABLE>
     .....
  </TABLE>
</RESOURCE>

It might help quite a lot to the developers of VO cient applications, if they
want to deal with services implementing different versions of the protocols
(not only SSA).  Including this info in the Registry is not sufficient,
because (as it was mentioned yesterday) Registries are meant to be used for
discovering the services, but not for accessing them.

An alternate solution is to put this into FORMAT=METADATA response, but I
would say that having it in both places is not a bad idea.
