Simple Spectral Access Use Cases

Data Providers (e.g., data centers, archives)

    - Data provider name
	Fermilab

    - Spectral data collections from this source
Sloan Digital Sky Survey, Data Release 1

    - Characteristics of data (number of spectra, size, irregularly sampled,
nonsampled (as in HE/UV) multiple flux arrays, variance arrays, etc.)
	Number: 186,000
Size: ~160 Kbytes per spectrum, ~3850 pixels in wavelength direction
Sampling: Uniform in log wavelength, resolution 1800
	Arrays: Spectrum, continuum-subtracted, noise, mask
	Wavelength range: 3800-9200
Tables: Emission, absorption lines and parameters, emission redshift
	   parameters, cross-correlation parameters.

    - Current data storage format
	FITS files

    - Is the data available online?
	Yes: through www.sdss.org

    - Other comments
Cover ~1300 square degrees of sky.
