Dear all,

thanks for the contributions.

Given one more week has been granted for submitting contributions,
I report here (see below) a revised text (as well as repeat the link to the
etherpad where you can find it).

I think the open question is about adding concrete/actual examples of
resources in production (at least one has been proposed).
I agree it would strengthen the abstract but, standards on path apart,
I cannot claim any direct examples there (might ask one to GW italian
community) so, please, if you want something to appear there, report
a line in the etherpad and, this Thursday, I'll do a final merge before
submission.

Thank you all again for the support and contributions!

Cheers
    Marco

Title: IVOA standards for multimessenger and time-domain data exploitation

[Abstract]
Discovering and accessing information provided by distributed facilities,
space or ground based, and numerical simulations and models, requires a
community-based shared approach to integrate and homogenise this
information into a usable and coherent set of resources.
The International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) is a community driven
open organisation aimed at discussing, developing and promoting
interoperability standards that promote an ecosystem of interoperable
services and tools. IVOA standards cover most of the FAIR principles,
providing a solid basis for enabling FAIR resources adherence in
astrophysics at large. IVOA vision is that astronomical datasets and other
resources should work as a seamless whole to empowers scientific discovery.
Support for multi-messenger and time-domain astronomy is one of the primary
science drivers for the development of IVOA standards. The importance of
support for time-domain and multi-messenger astronomy was emphasized in
(Decadal surveys in Europe and the US - I forget the titles. ). This
presentation describes the development of standards in this area of
astrophysics, and describes these standards in the context of overall
support for astrophysics.
