[csp] Astropy - IVOA hackathon on May 15th 2019 @ Paris

Dear all again,

I have also just heard of another possibly interesting challenge to put forward for the hackathon participants which I like also a lot :

“Download 6 different VOTables via TAP, and parse them into astropy SkyCoord objects, all without any user interaction beyond a single astroquery and/or Astropy call”

Cheers,

Bruno

It would also be great if you would know some astropy contributor who might be based in Paris and might want to come in person to the session.

According to them and looking at people's availabilities in the weeks prior to the Paris interop, I propose to have three telecons to coordinate the points below on the 2nd, 11th and 25th of April of this year, all of them scheduled at 5 pm CEST (Madrid/Strasbourg) = 11 am EST (Cambridge, MA) = 8 am PDT (Pasadena) = 11 pm CST (Beijing) = 2 am AEDT (Sydney). I paste below the connection details and attach the calendar invite files such that you can import them in your calendars and verify the exact local times in your time-zones. I am aware that the chosen times are not good for some colleagues so I would welcome contributions before or after any of the telecons via email to the addressee list above or via phone/skype calls with me at better times where needed.
