Hi Pat and LOC colleagues,
On behalf of the CSP, I would like to request a change in the time for the CSP Focus Session in the agenda to discuss synergies between IVOA and the astropy community.
I have discussed with the two main developers of astropy (Tom Robitaille and Erik Tollerund) and they would be willing to contribute to the session by giving a remote presentation about astropy and then staying online for the discussion afterwards. Given their availabilities (Erik will be in the East coast during the whole week and Tom is only available Thursday and Friday from Europe), the best possible times to have the Focus Session with their participation would be the first slot in the morning of Thursday of Friday (9:00 to 10:30 am). If none of those would be possible, then the first slot on Tuesday or Wednesday would be the second best option. If no change like this is possible at this time, then I am afraid it will mean that we cannot have them participating in the session, which will make the session unfortunately less useful. If the sessions could be indeed organized, then we would need to have a spider phone (or similar) and microphones installed at the session such that the remote participants can hear people in the room from the phone.
Many thanks in advance,
Bruno
