<p>Dear Aladin users, dear IVOA Apps members,</p>
<p>I'm please to announce that we recently overtook an half million
of billions of HiPS pixels (5.21E+14) and 18 billions of catalog
rows available via Aladin and other HiPS aware clients.<br>
</p>
<p>Here a short recap of recent HiPS generated during the year 2018:
233 new HiPS images + 7 HiPS cat + 2 Hips cubes, generated by 7
organizations.<br>
The HiPS network is now based on 21 collaborative HiPS nodes (HiPS
servers). <br>
There are presently 7 official HiPS clients (Aladin Desktop,
Aladin Lite (& derived tools such as ESAsky, ESO archive
science portal, ALMA portal...), MIZAR/CNES, Stellarium (Desktop
and Web), Kstar, Firefly/NASA) and a few other in prototype phase.<br>
We estimate around 750 000 HiPS tiles queries per day (all clients
and servers)<br>
