Hipsgen new release announcement

Hello,

A *new version of Hipsgen*(*) was deployed on October 1, 2025, available 
from the CDS HiPS web <https://aladin.cds.unistra.fr/hips/#tools> page. 
New features have been added to the tool to facilitate the generation of 
HiPS, particularly from complex surveys (numerous overlays, highly 
heterogeneous exposure times, etc.). In addition, this version of the 
software is more robust and a bit faster than previous versions.

This version also *includes support for HiPS3D*, which has been 
developed/prototyped (see IVOA discussions/presentations 
<https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/InterOpJune2025Apps>) for the 
generation of *HiPS from cubic spectral data*. A tutorial 
demonstrating/presenting HiPS3D is available at the address below.
