"Parquet in the VO" Note 1.0 - published

Dear all,

The “Parquet in the VO” Note 1.0 is now published at https://www.ivoa.net/documents/Notes/VOParquet/.

Details on validators and existing implementations can be found at https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/ParquetInAstronomy.

The note offers guidelines for adding rich VOTable metadata to parquet files to integrate the technology with other VO services.


We’d like to thank the entire community for quickly coming together with this solution and especially the authors Mark Taylor, François-Xavier Pineau, Gregory Dubois-Felsmann and Brigitta Sipöcz for formulating it in a timely manner.
