IVOA Trieste meeting news

Dear Apps members,

The last IVOA meeting at Trieste in 21-23 October had been very 
fruitful, notably in the 3 Applications sessions (16 talks/demos). For 
those who were not able to partipate to this meeting, you will find the 
PDFs of most Apps talks at this following URL:

Two important decisions concerning Apps standards had been taken (see 
the closing remarks 
<http://wiki.ivoa.net/internal/IVOA/InterOpOct2016TCG/IVOA_Apps_Closing.pdf>):

  * *VOTable => Re-enforce the 2014 Banff decision to un-deprecate
    COOSYS VOTable tag*
      o by writing an Errata attached to VOTable 1.3
      o by convincing TAP lib and VOTable validator authors to
        re-incorporate asap the COOSYS
      o by convincing Gaia providers to release asap (epoch 2015)
  * *HiPS => Promote HiPS WD in PR*
