Python TAP client library

Hi Apps,

I'm looking for a Python TAP client library that would allow to query 
(synchronously) a TAP service and retrieve the result as (say) as 
Astropy Table object.
Nothing fancy or especially hard to implement but if someone has already 
developed it, I'd prefer not to reinvent the wheel. I found some intent 
to implement this in astroquery ( see 
https://github.com/astropy/astroquery/issues/277 ) but no actual code yet.
