Dear all,

We are please to announce our first beta release of AppLauncher : http://www.jmmc.fr/AppLauncher/

AppLauncher is a Java software, able to automatically launch JNLP applications when solicited through SAMP.
This way, known SAMP applications appear already available in your 'Interop' menu, even though none is yet running !
The end user can then discover and use applications she even does not know yet, based on their sole interoperable capacities.

This first release is mainly dedicated to you application developers. By trying AppLauncher and playing with your own SAMP application, AppLauncher will propose to report us your application meta-data, for later integration in our SAMP application registry.
The goal is to provide scientists with a one-stop Dock dedicated to astronomical software, offering as much choice as possible.
AppLauncher already offers JMMC software and 2 essentials that are Aladin and TOPCAT.

More details and contact informations are available on AppLauncher web page.
As usual, feedback and comments are welcome !

On the behalf of the JMMC technical team,
Best regards,
