Does anyone know if some open source KML library is planned to be
released in a near future? It seems that Google people wants to release
theirs at some point:

I am working on the open source Stellarium/VirGO
(http://archive.eso.org/cms/tools-documentation/visual-archive-browser)
and also investigate adding KML support in it.
Thanks,
Fabien
