VOMegaPlot v1.0 Released

Hello,

We are happy to announce the release of VOMegaPlot v1.0. VOMegaPlot has been specifically designed to handle large catalogues (containing millions of data points) present in the VOTable format. 

This version allows you to perform the pre-processing and plotting operations much faster as compared to the earlier versions of VOMegaPlot. Further, the disk space required for storing the intermediate files, which are created as a result of pre-processing operation, has been reduced in a significant fashion.

Following are the benchmark results* for Tycho catalogues.

Benchmark results for Tycho-1 catalogue:

* Results obtained on a single CPU Pentium 4 (2.66 GHz) machine having 512 MB RAM on Redhat Linux platform.

Pre-processed files for Tycho-1 and Tycho-2 catalogues are available for download from the above mentioned link. Alternatively, the files can also been downloaded from the following ftp location by logging in as an anonymous user. Kindly note that this version does not support the intermediate files created with the earlier versions of VOMegaPlot (v1.0 Beta and v1.0a Beta).
