The WWT HTML5 Web Control SDK previewed at the Urbana Interop is now available for use at http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/help/SupportHelp.aspx?Page=WebClientHelp.
The SDK allows you to integrate an all sky viewer into any web page easily. You can add geometry, images and other overlays to the sky imagery, and register callbacks when users interact with the view, or click on objects.

The SDK is platform independent and should work across browsers and operating systems, from phones to tablets to PC's. It supports touch events and gestures on IOS. There is a porting guide to help you quickly port applications from the previous Silverlight based WebControl ot the HTML5 release in order to get the benefits of expanded compatibility with additional platforms.

Performance on desktop/laptop computers is quite high with frame rates exceeding 60FPS in many cases. Performance on Phone's and tablets is also quite good.

While the SDK does not implement a SAMP directly, the users application glue code can use one of the available Web-SAMP libraries to interact and plot data from other SAMP clients.
